View Online Request GuideThe City of Grove City is set to celebrate Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4 with a grand fireworks show at dusk.
At 9:45 p.m., the annual community fireworks display is launched from Murfin Fields, with simulcast music on Qfm96, WLVQ-96.3 radio. Listening on the radio is recommended as streaming from a cell phone results in a 30-second delay.
For the safety of all, parking and spectators are not permitted at Murfin Fields, but free parking is available at Windsor Park, and Hayes Intermediate and J.C. Sommer Elementary schools. Parking opens at 8 p.m. at Grove City High School and the Grove City Church of the Nazarene. Blankets, lawn chairs and most other personal items are permitted. Due to parking restrictions/limitations and public safety, the following are prohibited: grills, alcohol, personal fireworks including sparklers, skates, skateboards, flatbed trailers, recreational vehicles, tents and canopies, and pets other than service dogs.
TRAFFIC UPDATE AFTER THE FIREWORKS
Hoover Road will close to north- and southbound traffic from White Road to Orders Road beginning at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Enjoy summer celebrations safely! The City of Grove City permits the use of novelty fireworks, such as sparklers, party-poppers, snaps, smoke devices or glow worms. Setting off aerial fireworks including shells and rockets without an exhibitor’s license continues to be illegal (Grove City Codified Ordinance, Chapter 1519) and poses a significant health and safety risk.
