Whether you love animals, plants, building structures or making things that move, there is something for kids of all ages. Discover more about your favorite topic or challenge yourself by experimenting with something new. Available stations offer the ability to create a variety of scientific crafts: build a rocket, assemble robots and structures from LEGOs, examine the basics of being a veterinarian and learn about plants and the environment.
The City of Grove City is a proud partner of the COSI Science Festival, May 1 to 4, 2019. Experience all of the Grove City supporting events:
Science Trivia at Massey’s Pizza, Wednesday, May 1, 7 to 9 p.m.
Build, Blast & Grow Science Celebration, Thursday, May 2, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Citywide Star Party at Scioto Grove Metro Park, Friday, May 3, 7 to 10 p.m.
The week of learning culminates Saturday, May 4, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the 2019 COSI Big Science Celebration, an exciting and fun celebration of science along the peninsula surrounding COSI, including Washington Boulevard, Genoa Park, Town Street, and Dorrian Green Park! This free event is something you won’t want to miss – with dynamic experiments, incredible demonstrations and engaging hands-on activities. Hosted by Franklin County’s own science, technology, engineering and mathematics focused organizations, the Big Science Celebration is sure to provide entertainment and learning opportunities for the whole family.
This is your chance to touch a brain, build a marshmallow catapult, turn bananas into a piano, drive an underwater robot, talk to NASA researchers, see a volcano explode, and much more!
COTA is the “Official Ride Partner” offering free transportation to and from COSI’s Big Science Celebration Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. COSI will distribute free COTA bus passes at dozens of events leading up to May 4. Visitors can receive a COTA bus pass for their trip home by visiting COTA’s brand new bus parked on the Rich Street Bridge during the Big Science Celebration.
