View Online Request GuideDid you know that Grove City is home to the World’s Largest High School Alumni Softball Tournament?! 2023 GCHS Alumni Weekend is the last weekend in July.
Here is the scoop:
+ Visit Grove City will be hosting a 10 year Time Capsule. We are looking to have every class represented in the capsule that will be opened in 2033 for the 50th Alumni Tournament! Please bring your items to Visit Grove City (3995 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123) any time from now until Saturday, August 5. Items must fit in a gallon size zip lock bag.
+ The events start on Thursday, July 27 2023 with the Tournament Drawings happening at Upper Deck Sports Bar. This starts at 6pm with the following schedule:
6:00PM – Ladies Classic
6:30PM – Women’s
7:00PM – Men’s A
7:30PM – Men’s B
8:00PM – Men’s 35+
8:30PM – Men’s 45+
+ Friday, July 28 is filled with fun as Broadway is transformed into a big homecoming party! Visit Grove City has been working with a couple of local artists, David Lane and Cody Wood, to reveal a huge Alumni themed mural called ‘Game Time’ that will be permanently on display at Fryer Park. What is unique about this piece of art is that it is a stero-painting. Stop by the visitor center to meet the artists and hear about how this is different than any mural that you have seen before. The artists will be here from 5p-9p.
+ There will be live entertainment courtesy of The Menus from 7p-9:45p. Check out Grove City, OH Government’s website for more information about traffic, parking, and any weather updates.
+ Saturday, July 29 – Sunday, July 30 – PLAY BALL! Games will be played at Fryer Park and Murfin Fields starting at 9am. Find the full bracket HERE.
+ The “Game Time” Mural will have an official dedication at Fryer Park at 1pm
