This weekend Grove City will be bustling with activities thanks to our Grove City High School Alumni Softball Tournament – now in its 39th year! Jolly Pirate Donuts has the perfect array of sweet treats to pick up and start your weekend. Surprise your team (or loved ones who are playing) with a dozen! Save a few for after the games as a treat for all that hard work. To stay energized during the game, swing by Transcend Coffee & Roastery and pick up the perfect cup of coffee.
For lunch, there’s always the opportunity to adventure out and find something new to enjoy. The Garden Bar is the perfect spot to grab a healthy lunch! For those who want something else, visit any of the many delicious pizza places we have to offer. While you’re at it, pick up a Pizza Trek guide from our Visitors Center. When you have a guide, earn a stamp from each pizza place you enjoy and earn your way towards a cool price. Check out our page on the Pizza Trek to learn more.
Get your gear to show off your participation in alumni weekend by stopping by the Grove City Guide + Gear, located in the visitors center. There’s a variety of cool items you can pick up to memorialize your time in Grove City. From unique jewelry handcrafted by local vendors to the perfect tools, you need to have an Altogether Adventure that will craft memories that last a lifetime.
If you’re looking to enjoy a patio and some drinks, Hop Yard 62 is one of the perfect places to kick back and relax after a long day of watching or playing in the tournament. They often have live music and have 21 rotating taps.
For dinner, there is plenty of options downtown to try. Visit Local Cantina to satisfy your taco cravings and play a game of pool. Enjoy Grove City Brewing Company to try locally crafted wines and an outdoor dining experience you’re sure to love. If you are a history buff, Plank’s would be an exciting stop. This historical building used to be a hotel and is now redesigned to serve delicious food in a great environment.
Even though the weekend is pretty jammed packed with activities, there’s plenty of fun ways to spend time in Grove City.
