Fall in Ohio always conjures up the same image: bonfires, apple cider, colorful leaves and – of course – pumpkins. The bright orange gourds are quintessential to the autumnal experience, and nothing tops hopping on a hay ride to find the perfect plant.

Every region in Ohio has dozens of farms from which to pick pumpkins. Some sell them pre-picked for you and others still deliver the time-honored tradition of the wagon ride to the field for you to select your own. Most farms also host fall activities like corn mazes, so you can make a day out of your visit to select the perfect pumpkin.

There are lots of pumpkin patches throughout Ohio. Remember to check with individual farms on their schedule. Here are some pumpkin patches you can find in Ohio:

Central Ohio

Circle S Farms: One of the most well-known family farms in Central Ohio is Circle S Farms in Grove City, where every day in October is a fall fun day. Circle S Farms does pumpkin picking the old-fashioned way with a hayride to the field to select your perfect pumpkin, capped off with activities on the farm including a corn maze and fresh cider and donuts in the market.
