Visit Grove City, the official destination marketing organization for the City of Grove City, is charged with marketing Grove City as a premier business and leisure destination, thus enriching our community’s overall quality of life. Visit Grove City’s Board of Trustees sets operating policies and approves an annual budget ensuring that policies are in line with the mission of the organization.

Our board consists of a diverse group of individuals from throughout Grove City including our lodging partners, local attractions, general public and more. Every other year (on odd years), the President of the Grove City’s City Council appoints one trustee, all other trustee positions are elected by the current board of trustees. Of the non-appointed positions, two trustees are selected to represent business, one trustee is an attorney, one trustee is from a lodging property within Grove City, one trustee represents the entertainment industry, one trustee represents the food and beverage industry, one trustee represents the event and meeting industry, one trustee represents the general public, and two trustees represent the community-at-large. Funding used to fulfill our mission is provided via collaboration with the city and state. When a visitor stays, they remit 17.5% tax on the price of the hotel or motel room. Of this 17.5%, 7.5% is sales tax collected by the State of Ohio. 4% of the bed tax is imposed by the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority who manages the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Nationwide Arena and Hilton Columbus Downtown. 4.5% funds the City of Grove City’s efforts to develop the community. The balance of 1.5% of the visitors pay to Grove City lodging facilities is stipulated for use promoting Grove City as a destination to increase visitors to our area, thus creating economic growth and development.
