Visit Grove City Trailblazer Awards
The Visit Grove City Trailblazer Awards celebrate the Grove City tourism community and honor the people, places, and organizations that make it successful. Nominees and winners are chosen by our community and are recognized at the Visit Grove City Annual Meeting in August.
A "Trailblazer" is someone or something that forges a path of greatness and guides others along the way.
Visit Grove City is an organization that markets Grove City to bring in visitors. We are so fortunate to have so many great people, places, and organizations that make Grove City a great place to visit and live!
Take a look at the Trailblazer Hall of Fame. If you have a shout-out in mind, be sure to nominate them for an award. If you don't want to wait for the next awards cycle, email your great recommendation to welcome@visitgrovecity.com so that we can feature it in some way!
Steve Carr, Creator of the Grove City High School Alumni Softball Tournament
Mr. Carr noted his appreciation, “I appreciate the Grove City tourism community’s recognition of the Alumni Tournament and the role I played for 34 years.
Although I was awarded the Individual Trailblazer Award, many people and organizations contributed to our success. The tournament is a lot like Visit Grove City’s tagline: ‘Altogether Adventure. Altogether different… both a fierce, but friendly competition and community-wide reunion. Altogether unexpected… who could have predicted that Grove City would become home to the world’s largest alumni tournament? Altogether memorable… forging lifelong friendships and memories.”
