Things are heating up in Grove City as Summer forges on. But no matter how hot it gets, Grove City still offers plenty of opportunities to stay cool, even as the temperatures rise. Read on to learn how to beat the heat during your Altogether Adventure® in Grove City.

Go Creeking at Parks

Dip your feet in the cool water when you look for crawdads, fish, and other wildlife! Stop to speak to park staff to make sure the water depths and conditions are safe before getting your feet wet. Grove City has over 20 parks to explore, but our top 3 for creeking include:

Splash In Fryer Park’s Splash Pad

Cool off this summer with a romp around the Splash Pad at Fryer Park (outside of the Grove City YMCA). The Splash Pad is open through Labor Day (September 6, 2021), so there’s still plenty of time to enjoy it. The bright, colorful interactive water play structures are sure to delight kids of all ages.

Hours are limited:

Monday through Thursday: 12pm-8pm
Friday: 12pm-7pm
Saturday: 12pm-5pm
Sunday: 11am-5pm

Patrons must adhere to the rules and regulations, including those put in place to limit exposure to COVID-19 (e.g., social distancing).

Take a Dip in Your Hotel’s Pool

13 of Grove City’s 18 hotels have a pool! So during your stay, you can take a dip and enjoy the water without leaving the comfort of your hotel!

Savor Ice Cream

There’s little better than ice cream to keep cool during long summer days! Check out some of our favorite local spots.

Enjoy Smoothies or Shakes

If you want a healthier (but still refreshing) alternative to ice cream, you can stay cool with a smoothie or shake. Each spot offers many varieties, so everyone in your circle is bound to find the perfect flavor for them!

Have Fun at Indoor Attractions

Whether that means catching a movie at the local theatre, exploring history at the museum, pampering yourself with a day at a spa, or indulging in a shopping spree, there’s plenty of indoor adventures in Grove City.
